What standards organisations are doing to facilitate the digitalisation of construction
September 25, 2020Hardware Association Ireland has today launched its Pre Budget Submission for 2021, having forwarded it to Minister for Finance Paschal O’Donoghue for his consideration.
The submission comprises the four pillars of the Rebuilding our Future Plan with additional recommendations for Timber and Fuel. The key recommendations are summarised below:
- Home Renovation Incentive (HRI) scheme for Renovations
- Home Renovation Incentive (HRI) scheme for Energy Retrofitting of Homes
- Support for those Buying a Home
- Upskilling the Sector and Re-Skilling Employees
- Special Consideration for Timber Industry in Brexit Negotiations
- Introduce Voucher Scheme for Winter Fuel Allowance
“Our submission has significant, relevant, and timely recommendations to boost demand for the hardware and merchanting markets and the overall economy.”, explains HAI Chief Executive Officer, Martin Markey. “As other sectors falter in the face of Covid-19 and Brexit, our sector has the potential to be a key driver of economic resurgence throughout the country.”.
