Hardware Association Ireland (HAI) is the national representative body for hardware/DIY retailers and builders merchants, as well as manufacturers / distributors to the trade.
We uniquely represent all levels of the supply chain and include within our membership ranks national and international companies, multi-branch chains and smaller independent hardware businesses.
We have over 400 members (June 2020) split between retailers and merchants, distributors and manufacturers. The sector generates employment of 26,000 persons, wages and salaries of nearly €588 million and a tax contribution of close to €377 million in Ireland.We produce a biennial trade show, a conference in the years that the trade show doesn’t take place, host networking events, organise Study Tours and visits to trade shows abroad.
We have a growing programme of training and development courses both online and in the classroom, produce an award-winning bi-monthly magazine, The Hardware Journal and gather specific and relevant research from our members and the general public about the industry.
We support our smaller members through negotiating offers on services such as card payment services, insurance, cash-in-transit and employment advice.
We are the voice of the Irish hardware industry and contribute to the work of Government and its agencies to improve our sector.
