Joe McKennas, a long-established and trusted power tool and hardware supplier in Limerick City, is currently recruiting a Trade Counter / Sales Assistant to join our friendly and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve customers at the trade counter in a professional and friendly manner
• Advise customers on power tools, hardware, machinery and DIY products
• Process sales, including cash and card transactions
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked trade counter
• Assist with stock control, deliveries and goods-in
• Answer phone and email enquiries
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations

Candidate Requirements

• Customer-focused with strong communication skills
• Reliable, proactive and able to work well in a team
• Willingness to learn about tools, hardware and machinery (full training provided)
• Basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel)
• Previous retail, trade counter or sales experience an advantage but not essential
