Role Purpose
We are now looking to recruit an additional Technical Product Demonstrator where the role will be based nationwide and you’ll report to the Technical & Training Manager.
The role will involve a full technical induction and training programme to enable the successful candidate to gain experience with the company’s product offering, allowing them to develop and best fulfil their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the company and its product range at merchant trade morning, national and regional trade shows, exhibitions, open days, and industry events.
- Demonstrate products to merchants, installers, contractors explaining features, benefits, and correct applications.
- Use hands-on plumbing and heating experience to provide practical advice to customers and trades professionals while building and maintaining strong relationships with them.
- Deliver informal product training sessions and toolbox talks at merchant branches and customer sites.
- Support the sales team by attending customer meetings and helping to present technical solutions.
- Act as a technical point of contact for product-related queries from customers and internal teams.
- Gather feedback from installers and merchants and relay insights to product development and management teams.
- Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies.
- Help maintain demo equipment and ensure products used for demonstrations are in good working order.
- Support merchants’ customers with the maintenance and supply of point of sale material.
- Travel throughout Ireland as required for events, training sessions, and customer visits.
- Will be open to variation in job role as required i.e. flexibility essential in line with needs of the company.
Key Requirements
- 1-3 years minimum experience in the Plumbing and Heating industry
- Perform an ambassadorial role for the business and brand.
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage their own schedule.
- Working as part of a dynamic team; sales, technical sales, design and quality control departments
- Representing the business in a professional and positive manner at all times.
