Wage Rate Survey 2017 – Retailers and Merchants

May 22, 2017Each year we will continue to ask members to complete a survey on current wage rates and future employment plans. A summary of the results from our supplier members is below:
- Dublin respondents account for the largest % of participants at 45%
- 45% of respondents say their business wages account for <15% of turnover
- 81% of respondents intend to hire full time staff in 2017, an 11% increase from 2016
- 19% of respondents intend to increase wages this year, an 8% decrease from 2016
- 56% of employers intend to increase wages in 2017, a 5% decrease from 2016
