
Portfolio Manager – Fencing Solutions

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Product Specialist to support the growth and development of our Fencing Solutions portfolio.
This is a field-based, customer-facing role requiring strong product knowledge, technical expertise, and the ability to support sales activity across a diverse customer base.
Working closely with the Category / Portfolio Growth Manager, this role will focus on driving customer engagement, supporting deal conversion, and acting as the technical expert in the market.
The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening IITC’s presence in the fencing market through hands-on engagement with customers and consistent support of commercial activity.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Field Activity
- Spend the majority of time in the field engaging with contractors, installers, merchants, and customers
- Support the identification and progression of new business opportunities
- Provide on-site support, demonstrations, and product guidance where required
- Build strong relationships and act as a trusted point of contact for customers
Product Expertise & Technical Support
- Develop and maintain deep product knowledge across fencing and wire products
- Provide technical advice as the go-to product expert for both customers and internal teams
Sales Support & Conversion
- Work closely with the Category / Portfolio Growth Manager to support pipeline development and deal conversion
- Assist in securing business through product demonstrations, technical input, and customer engagement
- Support achievement of sales targets through active field involvement
- Ensure a high standard of customer service throughout the sales process
Market Presence & Promotion
- Represent the business at trade shows, demonstrations, and customer events
- Support product launches and promotional activity in the market
- Actively promote the fencing category and strengthen IITC’s visibility and reputation
Market Insight & Feedback
- Provide regular feedback on customer needs, competitor activity, and product performance
- Share insights to support continuous improvement of the product offering
- Assist in identifying opportunities for range development and innovation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Category, and Procurement teams to ensure alignment between customer requirements and product availability
- Support the Category / Portfolio Growth Manager in delivering commercial objectives
- Contribute to a collaborative and customer-focused team environment
Profile
- Experience in a sales, technical sales, or field-based role
- Strong knowledge of fencing, construction, agri, or related products
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Hands-on, practical, and customer-focused approach
- Highly motivated, flexible, and comfortable working independently
- Willingness to travel extensively and attend events (including occasional weekends)
Education & Skills
- Relevant industry experience essential
- Full clean driving licence
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Experience with ERP or CRM systems is an advantage
