Retail Ireland Skillnet are now enrolling new learners on their part-time degree in Retail Management Practice starting in September. The programme is ideal for anyone in a managerial role in retail or who aspires to be a retail manager in the future. The programme has been designed by retail professionals in collaboration with Work Based Learning specialists from Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT), and covers key aspects of retail management including Stock Management, Social Media and Human Resource Management.
The degree programme will be delivered over three years in central Dublin in their new training academy on Henry Street which will be opening in the coming weeks. Students will attend 16 days of classes per year and the modules are delivered on retail friendly dates (normally Tuesdays and Wednesdays), with no classes in December and January.
The programme costs €1,500 per year and is delivered in collaboration with highly experienced work-based learning retail lectures. Furthermore, there is a strong focus on learners being exposed to subject matter and retail experts. Learners receive significant recognition for learning achieved in the workplace, and an e-learning tool is also provided upon enrollment to enhance and support learning.
Retail Ireland Skillnet are now recruiting for September 2018 and there are only 60 places available, so early booking is recommended.
“I am finding the degree very interesting and honestly loving every minute of it. This course has definitely made me a better employee overall. Coming from someone who went to college and dropped out, I would recommend this non traditional route to anyone. The spacing between modules is perfect and gave me plenty of time to complete assignments, work full time and look after the children without feeling under pressure.” – Tiernan O’ Connor Current Degree Student, Woodies DIY
