HCT Learning, a Kilkenny based training provider approved by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine are running a Handling and Distribution of Pesticides QQI Level 5 course in Kilkenny on the 13th June and 20th June 2018, and spaces are available to HAI members who are looking to gain a formal qualification in the topic.
This two-day workshop is designed to to help enable participants to develop the knowledge, skills and competency necessary to ensure that people involved in the sale and/or distribution of pesticides are appropriately trained to cope with situations that may arise during the pesticide distribution phase. This programme has been approved and will meet all the requirements set under the National Action plan for the Sustainable Use of Pesticides. On completion of this programme participants will be able to register as a approved distributor and understand all storage, handling, distribution and disposal requirements for pesticides as required under legislation. Cost of the course is €220 per person.
Along with relevant staff it is recommended that Owner/Managers attend this training course as well if possible as they have ultimate responsibility.
